Client 1: Art for a period style space
The clients for this particular artwork have a fascination with asian style decoration and culture and thus have decorated their home in this fashion adopting a chinoiserie period look throughout also incorporating a hint of french baroque period style.
In initial meetings the clients highlighted that they preferred a large artwork that they would like to feature on their lounge room wall. The client also highlighted that they had an interest and passion in painting watercolour artworks.
The inspiration behind using this artwork was partially because the art followed all of the criteria that the clients had requested, but also carried a beautiful sense of uniqueness, colour and intricacy that could be translated to convey both a period style and also work inside a contemporary home.
After receiving the artwork, framing was simple using a plain thin matt black frame with floating glass over top of paper to protect artwork and add a sense of depth. This was also used to compliment the existing black furniture and ornaments in the room.
