The clients for this particular artwork have a contemporary apartment in the city with an industrial grunge style throughout the living space. The clients have decorated their home in this fashion adopting metals and concretes along with worn style furniture.
In initial meetings the clients pointed out that they preferred artwork that they would like to feature on their living room wall but also blend with the style of the apartment. The client also highlighted that they had an interest in photographing street art
The inspiration behind using these two artworks was partially because the art incorporated an element of street art and rawness. An interesting element to this artwork that made it work with the house is the medium of old books behind the painting to add depth and a work look. The use of the large eyes in painting also conveys a sense of honesty that I was sure the clients would appreciate.
After receiving the artwork, no framing was used so as to keep the painting as raw looking as possible and the apartment is well shaded with tint protection from the sun.
